This week, there are two shows
downtown that, in my humble opinion,
you won't want to miss ... and while
there is fabulous live music all
over the area ... these shows are
guaranteed to please.
On Friday night at
The Bullfrog Brewery, the area's
favorite jam band,
Lumpy Gravy, will be celebrating
their 10-year band birthday! The
band features the talents of Owen
MacDonald (guitar & vocals), Doug
McMinn (sax, guitar & vocals), Jimmy
Lovcik (bass guitar) and Aaron
Sauers (drums). Friday night's show
should be a blast, and although I'm
thrilled that I'll be playing with
my band (The
Blind Chitlin Kahunas) that
night at Hull's Landing, I also wish
I was free so I could hang with the
ever-fun Lumpy boys!
On Saturday night, the place to be is
The
Pub,
for a sonic experience unlike any
other in the form of
Electric Volcano Experiment.
This uber-talented trio features
guitarist Alex Callenberger, bassist
Andy Seal and drummer Jeremy Hummel
... and with a rare Saturday night
to myself ... The Pub is where I'll
be!
